Asos just had their half price sale so of course I had to have a quick look!
I was so excited to find that the SkinnyDip shell bag that I’ve wanted for ages went on sale! Down from over €40 to €16! It was such a good deal!
I’ve wanted one of these bags for so long but found them a little too pricey. I’m hoping to wear this a lot on a general basis but I’d love to use it in Lolita at some point too.
One of my goals for 2018 is to dress cuter and I want to use more cute accessories like this bag!
I also picked up this cute beret, while not on sale I really want to start adding more to my outfits.
Edit: The Marie Plush I bought was refunded sadly!
So the Disney Store announced their sale for Christmas and I just had to have a quick look and that quick look led to me buying a couple of things. Whoops!
A couple of these items were on sale (the ufufy’s were not but I needed them!).
I had been meaning to buy these Disney Princess mugs for ages. I kept seeing them on instagram and they were so cute. I was so happy to see them on sale too!
I picked up three because I can’t help myself. They also had a Jasmine one but I try to only keep my collections to a certain amount of characters.
I picked up Belle, Rapunzel and Ariel! They each have a quote on the rim of the mug!
The next part of this haul wasn’t on sale but the Disney Store UK finally got the new Ufufy’s (Beauty and the Beast and Snow White) and I needed them! They also work out cheaper as they cost £5 online or €8 in store! I picked up Belle, Beast and Snow! Again just buying the characters I want versus too many! I am so in love with these!
To get the free shipping and pretty much make my order a little cheaper I also picked up the Lady tsum (from Lady and the tramp). I downsized my tsum tsum collection recently but she was quite cute!
Yes it’s that time again! However this time I’m going to try something different! I don’t want to feel pressured by this list, rather inspired by it! It’s literally a list of things, I may add to, of things I want to try to do in 2018. I want to do more with my life, even basic things like dressing better.
So here’s my list for 2018! (in no particular order and in a bit of a ramble) :
- Dress cuter and develop personal style
- Buy something from Lazy Oaf
- Post outfit photos on instagram
- Get a forest green wig
- Put together a Slytherin coord
- Get out more
- Take more photos
- Get a job
- Practise makeup more and do more cute hairstyles
- Try Gothic Lolita
- Buy a new bookcase
- Work on collecting new things like pins
- Try new styles (Party Kei etc)
- Try booktube
- Blog more
And I plan on going back and adding more during the year! I want to make the most out of 2018!
So that’s me for 2018! How about you? Any goals you have for the new year?
Okay so I haven’t bought that much makeup this year and I saw that Beauty Bay were having a half price sale. I had to have a look of course!
This was also my first time using Beauty Bay and I will be buying from their site again for sure. My order arrived so quickly and well packaged. It even came with tracking and the shipping was free when you spend over €23!
Now I normally don’t buy from Jeffree Star but I do own a couple of his products. They had his skin frosts half price and even reduced his lipsticks. I picked up the skin frost in Regina George, which is a bright pink, that I’m hoping to use as an eyeshadow too. I use a lot of pink in my Lolita looks as I tend to wear a lot of pink makeup. I also picked up the lipstick in Baby Spice. Can you sense a theme? I do wear a lot of pink! I’m hoping to wear more cuter things and work on my makeup in the new year!
Now part of this haul that I’m super excited about are my first lip purchases from Sugarpill! I don’t own a lot from Sugarpill, just the palette Sparkle Baby, but I do love them and I’m super excited about these!
One of these were on sale, being the lipstick and the other wasn’t. I’ve been wanting to try their lquid lipsticks for such a long time! This is in the shade Trinkett!
The lipstick was on sale and it’s in the shade Girl Crush (love that name!). Again another pink! Whoops!
The packaging is so damn beautiful! I’m 100 per cent adding more Sugarpill to my life in 2018!
I’ll be posting some swatches over on my instagram stories tomorrow!
I’ve been wanting to collect pins for a long time and recently I finally decided to start collecting them! They are super cute and see them all the time on instagram.
I discovered this brand on instagram through another Lolita. The pins were super cute but the shipping was quite expensive since they were an American brand. However the owner messaged me mentioning she did a cheaper version! I was so happy and since they were having a sale I decided to go ahead and order two pins!
The shop is called GirlyPopBows.
The pins are of the White Rabbit from Alice and Wonderland with his pocketwatch and a pink Sweet Lolita dress.
I’m really excited to wear these with my Lolita coords, I’m hoping to do an Alice inspired one next year!
I can’t wait to buy more pins! I have two on the way in the main from Sad Ghost Club that I’m looking forward to!
I’d love to know what brands you like for your pins! Any favourite shops? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
Yes you didn’t read that wrong. In. Almost. 20. Years.
I grew up watching a show called Cardcaptors (Cardcaptor Sakura) and would wake up every Saturday for 7am to watch new episodes on tv. I was so excited about it. It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I truly discovered what it was, anime. I didn’t read the manga till later on as it wasn’t easy to find at the time. But when I did get it, once Kodansha re-released it in a beautiful omnibus format, I fell in love with Sakura and her friends again. Now so long after watching the show and even reading it, Clamp have written a sequel series! I was so happy! There’s also an anime being released next month and will be streamed on Crunchyroll! I can’t wait!
Here is the first volume of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card. I always try to support series that I love, which is why I do buy single issues. I never read manga online, it’s not only not great to read online (at least for me) but it’s also better to buy and support the writers and the artists of something you love. I saw that people were postings scans from the magazine in Japan that were publishing the chapters and translating them but I didn’t see the point in reading them. I like to wait for the volumes to come out and read them when I buy them.
Another series that I’m in love with and always try to buy is Princess Jellyfish! I was so happy back when they announced that they were releasing this in English (after Japanese it was also released in Italian and French). I adored the anime and even bought it on DVD which I don’t do often due to the cost. The manga just recently finished in Japan so I can’t wait to have the complete series!
This is volume 7 (it’s an omnibus with 2 volumes) .
Next up is the newest volume of Lumberjanes! A series set at camp about girl scouts who end up in magical situations. I’m so in love with this series and I love that it actually has great representation of POC and the LGBT community. I can’t wait to read this! Highly recommended by me! I adore the art too!
The next volume is Attack on Titan. This is another great series, though I’ve fallen behind in reading it so I’m looking forward to catching up. I also really recommend the anime if you haven’t seen it!
So Food Wars is another manga series that I’m a huge fan of! I always try to buy it close after it comes out online. It’s such a good series! I really recommend the anime! It’s a very intense cooking anime and manga, the food looks so good too. The Fine Bros actually did a challenge on their YouTube channel involving the food from this anime so I’d go watch it if you’re interested in seeing what the food looks like in real life. There are also people who recreate the dishes online!
And finally that’s my haul! It took about a week for me to get everything after it was all shipped out! Got the last part today! I’m so excited to get a lot of reading done before the year ends!
I am very excited to share this small haul with you! I recently did a small order on Asos mostly due to one particular item. I have fallen in love with flamingo themed things lately and a while back I bought a mug by Paperchase. It was so damn cute. I was browsing through Asos when I came across the cutest thing.
A flamingo teapot!
Not just any flamingo teapot by the way, a Paperchase flamingo teapot, one that matches the mug that I already had! It was fate! I had to get it. And it’s even better in real life!
It’s so damn cute! I can’t wait to use it to make a nice pot of tea! It might give me an excuse to invite friends over once I’m done organising my room.
Here it is with my matching mug!
I also picked up this really cute compact case by Anna Sui. It was way too cute to pass up on. It comes with a small puff for powder and it’s going to be perfect for bringing to meetups!
They had some cute Barry M makeup too so I got this cute highlighter for myself and two small things for my sister. It’s such a cute highlight and I can’t wait to wear it.
My mum also picked up some cute macarons for me recently and I had to include them in a photo with the teapot and mug!
